“Madam Lo, standing tall with Mr Yap Chan Kor at the Old Klang Road centre (July 2018)
Madam Irene Lo, age 66, from Subang Jaya came to YapChanKor Pain Treatment Centre to treat severe pain in her right knee which started in March 2018. The knee pain originated from a mild sprain or injury sustained when she stood up after sitting on the floor for 30 minutes....

“16-year old Nigel’s case is a pretty interesting one that we recently saw. He had undergone a meniscus surgery at the KLSMC in early 2014 to fix his discoid meniscus in his left knee (basically the meniscus was too thick) and was told he would recover in 3 months after physiotherapy and stem cell injections to combat the pain. But the pain persisted. The doctor there suspected a tear had formed in the meniscus and recommended another surgery. His parents planned to have his surgery at the end of 2015.
Fortunately, he came to see us first. From not being able to play sports or do long walks wit...

“Michael flies from Alaska, USA to get his frozen shoulder fixed at YAPCHANKOR!
A bit of background about Michael’s case: We had previously treated Michael’s left frozen shoulder a year ago, and after 2-3 months, he was 75%-80% better. Before he came to see us, during the 5 years he suffered from frozen shoulder, he had tried acupuncture for 4 months, and physiotherapy for 8 months, as well as massage therapy. Nothing worked as well as he hoped, but he responded extremely well to our treatment, which combines Shaolin herbal medicine patches together with physiotherapy. Today, as he reports, he’...

“This is another case we saved from surgery! Puan Kamariah suffered shoulder pains on her left side due to a diagnosed rotator cuff tear and also neck pains from a cervical disc prolapse. She had to stay in a hospital for 10 days because of these severe pains. But when the doctors advised surgery, she decided to seek a second opinion and came to see us. Well, the rest is history as they say. We managed to get rid of all her shoulder pain in just 21 sessions of treatments. When she suffered an ankle sprain during the treatment, she immediately treated that too, and we cured that in 5 days. Pleas...

““A year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with degenerative spondilolesthis, spinal stenosis and degenerative discs from L2/3 to L5 S1. At this time I was given 2 options, conservative treatment or surgery. I opted for conservative. My back and leg pain began about 4 years ago during which I have undergone many treatments and therapies such as massage therapy, acupuncture, cupping, physiotherapy, chiropractic, traction, intense daily exercise in the gym and swimming daily ~ 2km. I even lost 15 kilos in an effort to decrease the pressure on my spine but nothing was resonating. In fact my pain see...

“Louise, 30, suffered from pains in her back, shoulder and thigh after her fall from the stairs. Because of her age and the mechanical nature of her injuries (e.g. her mechanical back injury), we were able to treat all her problems within a 2 week treatment plan. Her testimonial below is rather whimsical and quite individual, and we decided to reproduce it fully without any edits. Thank you Louise and we appreciate your feedback about our physiotherapist! We are glad that we have relieved you of your pain!
“YAPCHANKOR Old Klang Road is the nearest shop to my place that I stay. First, I fall/sli...

“Irene, 56, from Ipoh, came all the way down to our Subang Jaya branch every Monday and Friday for her treatment with our physiotherapist Joy. She suffered from pain in both her calves, due to muscle strains. Despite all the physiotherapy she did in Ipoh, her pain did not go away, but after our treatment, we were able to reduce her calf pain levels and improve her function by 90%. This included her taking back our medicinal patches to apply at home in Ipoh. Thank you Irene, for allowing us to help you and for sharing your story here!
“I twisted my calf muscles (left leg) while bringing dog(sp?)...

“The actives in the patches help with reducing inflammation and promoting healing, resulting in successes like Wendy’s case, where we have managed to give her back long-term function with minor everyday management for the remaining pain. 80% reduction in pain, and improvement in functional abilities is a common result with our knee OA cases, which is also accomplished in a remarkably short 2-3 weeks, compared to many months of painkillers.
Thanks Wendy for sharing your story!...

““Suffering chronic pain for a year and a half. Tried medication, acupuncture and chiropractic but no effect. At Yap Chan Kor, I was undergoing 21 sessions of herbal patching, massages, infrared, strengthening, flexibility.
I’m truly impressed by YAP CHAN KOR and especially my physiotherapist Brian Moreira. He has not only received my pain, he has treated the root cause! It’s worth the money spent. As I’m back to outdoor activities / exercises – HAPPILY.” – Jezamine Lo...

““In 1996 I first experienced frozen fingers due to cold weather that I got during my trip to Turkey. A friend in the group suggested I should try reflexology conducted by blind massage in Medan Mara. I continued doing reflexology because it helped to maintain my well-being but stopped doing after I retired in 2012. Then in 2014 I got severe frozen right shoulder that I decide to go for physiotherapy at Klinik Kesihatan G… Se… It does not help much because the session was once a month. A friend in the office suggested patting hot water bag on the injured shoulder and exercise. After repeating t...

“Go Amanda! We love hearing stories like Amanda’s! Amanda, a very youthful 20 year old, is an ardent cheerleader, but her neck and shoulder pain and stiffness, coupled with lumbar scoliosis, was causing her terrible pain, and preventing her from expressing herself fully in her cheerleading. She tried physiotherapy before coming to see us, and after just 10 sessions, she is able to go back cheering without pain! Thanks for sharing and we wish you all the best!
“I am a cheerleader and I constantly practice and train for upcoming competitions. I am studying as well for my diploma currently and oft...

“Madam Aishah suffered from a common wear and tear problem for females in their middle age and up – bilateral knee OA (osteoarthritis). There is a lot of confusion about what to do with OA, and most people rightly start by going to see their doctor. However, most doctors are not aware of good alternative treatments out there, so they prescribe the typical NSAID painkillers, physiotherapy or even surgery. Patients who are looking for something less invasive end up trying up many kinds of expensive treatments that don’t work. Madam Aishah tried a traditional treatment for 1 year to no avail.
She ...

““Name as mentioned above, I’m an Indian lady, I had a fall last year December while on my way with my family for dinner. I did not realise that there was a hole near the restaurant. Both my legs landed in the hole whereby my right foot was bleeding (big toe). I went to clinic, got treatment. I forgot completely about my left foot (ankle) as I fell, I tripped my left ankle too. Anyway, on January this year (2018) my right foot was ok but my left ankle was giving me a lot of pain. I went to 2 government hospital and did X-ray. Doctor said ok, nothing broken just ligament torn. Given medication s...

““I started suffering from right hip pain in early 2013 and this was later confirmed to be osteoarthritis of the hip. In the beginning, I had to take pills for the pain, but later I started going for regular acupuncture in 2014 for 9 months. Whilst this helped to reduce the pain, I was walking awkwardly with a limp. My right leg progressively felt more stiff and ‘heavy’ as I was experiencing muscle aches and pains. I got tired quickly when walking and I was also having lower back pain when standing for more than 20 mins.
I came across the YAPCHANKOR advertisement on the internet, I read about t...
